DIY: Makeup Setting Spray!

If you use makeup setting spray, you know how expensive it can be. If you are new to setting spray, it is a weightless spray that is applied after your makeup is finished. It will help keep your makeup on all day. Some cost upwards of $40.00 for a few oz's.

I use setting spray daily. It really makes a vast difference in the longevity of your makeups life time. So here is a recipe I use to make my own.

What you need:
  • 2 oz spray bottle
  • 2 Tsp Vegetable Glycerin
  • 1 drop of an essential oil of your choice
  • Bottled water

Add the Glycerin and essential oil to your spray bottle. Then fill the rest of the way with bottled water. Put the spray cap back on and gently shake until the ingredients mix. Once they do the spray will be clear.

To use:

After you have finished your makeup, tilt your head upwards. Spray 4 sprays over your face with your eyes closed and face relaxed. Spray from 6 inches away from your face. You do not want to soak your face, just mist it slightly. Think of it as a hair spray for your make up. Trust me you wont go without it once you try it.
